After-School Teen Program

Hours are from 2:45pm to 8:00pm Monday through Friday. Hours may change due to school closings, half days, summer breaks, and special Club events.

Teen Activities

This after-school program is structured for youth ages 13 to 18. Students must be enrolled in school to attend. Membership covers everything from playing 5 on 5 in the gym, surfing the web in the computer lab, and just relaxing in the lounge... to opportunities to earn money for college. A study room, lockers, and a snack bar are available in the Teen Center.

Teen Center gym activities include basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, hockey, and soccer. (All equipment is provided.)

Free travel kickball league. Call for more information.

•  Cooking Class--Basics of cooking and meal preparation while eating a free snack or meal

•  CLUBService--Participate in community service and volunteer activities (Earn an education award if you are a current club member or alumni between the ages of 17 and 24)

•  Junior Staff--Hands-on experience helping others in the Club by volunteering or employment

(Participant can prepare for a future as human services professional or community volunteer leader)

•  Stay Smart--Nationally acclaimed comprehensive prevention program helps young people resist alcohol, tobacco and other drug use through interactive small group activities.

•  Money Matters--Promotes financial responsibility and independence for Club members ages 13-18)

•  Homework Help--Teen staff answers questions and encourages members to become self-directed learners.

•  CareerLaunch--Encourages members ages 13-18 to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, and make sound educational decisions.

•  Keystone Club--Leadership and service club; members elect officers and implement activities in areas of service, leadership development, unity, free enterprise, social recreation, and career exploration.

Goals for Graduation--Uses goal-setting techniques, recognizing the importance of education in reaching future goals

Art Club--Allows members to get creative with arts and crafts fun

Youth for Unity—Engages members in activities that promote diversity and combat prejudice and discrimination within the Club and beyond
